Senior Project Manager, Structural

Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships, actively participate in key client development, and attend conferences and events.
Identify project opportunities, prepare proposals, and consult with clients to plan and develop strategies for their water resource needs.
Conduct kick‑off meetings with all key stakeholders to announce the project start and review the overall project plan.
Identify high‑level risks, assumptions, and constraints and document them using historical data and expert judgment.
Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques and keep the project plan accurate.
Set expectations in accordance with the Project Plan to align stakeholders and team members.
Effectively manage multi‑discipline teams for water resources projects and tasks.
Measure project performance, identify variances, perform corrective actions, and communicate to stakeholders.
Execute tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals.
Define key project team roles, responsibilities, and establish a communication plan.
Implement risk mitigation actions to minimize impact of risk events.
Build team cohesiveness through leadership, mentoring, and training.
Design water infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities and distribution/conveyance systems.
Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for infrastructure projects such as pipeline storage and pump stations for storm drain, recycled water, and wastewater collection systems.
Prepare or oversee planning reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water, recycled water, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Manage planning, design, and construction support services for water, recycled water, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Design storm water management systems for water quality and quantity control.
Provide drainage, soil erosion and sediment control, utility relocation, right‑of‑way, staging, and construction plans, specifications, and engineering estimates for water resource and transportation projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
Master’s degree preferred.
18+ years of experience in civil and/or hydraulic engineering.
Professional Engineering registration required. California PE registration strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with water resource infrastructure, including fishery‑related projects, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and pump stations.
Familiarity with federal agency codes and requirements, including FERC, USACE, and USBR.
Compensation Package
Pay range: $154,000 – $230,000 (DOE)
