Cardinal Gibbons High School seeks an inspiring, collaborative, and mission-driven Principal to lead a thriving Catholic college-preparatory community of over 1,600 students beginning in the 2026-27 school year. The Principal will report to the Head of School and serve as the school’s chief academic and formational leader, advancing a culture of excellence, belonging, and purpose where students are known, seen, and challenged to grow.
Mission and Vision Mission-Rooted Leadership: Lead and serve in alignment with Cardinal Gibbons’ mission — forming students in faith, service, and leadership. Model a leadership style that integrates intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation in a way that is both authentically Catholic and deeply human.
Purposeful Education: Inspire a learning environment where academic rigor, creativity, and character development work together to prepare students for college, for life, and for a lifetime of service to others.

Strategic Alignment: Provide leadership in implementing school-supported initiatives, guiding teams toward measurable goals that reflect both excellence and mission.
Program Evaluation: Use assessment and data thoughtfully to inform decisions, improve programs, and sustain academic rigor.
Policy and Stewardship Policy Oversight: Support the review and refinement of policies, procedures, and budgets to ensure they align with mission and priorities.
Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with diocesan, accreditation, and state requirements with integrity and attention to detail.
Educational Excellence Instructional Leadership: Champion effective teaching and learning practices that meet diverse student needs and reflect the best of Catholic college-preparatory education.
High Standards: Model and uphold high expectations for faculty and students, balancing accountability with care.
Innovation and Technology: Promote the creative and responsible integration of technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
Community Engagement Ambassador for the School: Represent Cardinal Gibbons with warmth and professionalism at admissions events, parent gatherings, and community activities.
Parent Partnership: Build strong relationships with parents as partners in their children’s education and formation.
Qualifications Education: A master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field is required.
Experience:
At least five years of successful classroom teaching experience and five years of school leadership, preferably in a Catholic or independent secondary setting.
Demonstrated success in improving teaching and learning, building strong teams, and leading with vision and integrity.
Personal and Leadership Qualities:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead collaboratively and inspire confidence.
