Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!# **IN-PERSON AUDITIONS!!!**SeaWorld San Diego is seeking dynamic performers for our upcoming seasonal events, including **Lunar New Year**, **Mardi Gras**, and **Viva La Música**! We are looking for energetic Hosts and talented Vocalists to bring these celebrations to life with unforgettable entertainment and guest interaction.## ## **Roles:**## **Hosts**Energetic, charismatic performers to lead event activities, engage guests, introduce entertainment offerings, and maintain the festive atmosphere throughout each celebration.## **Vocalists**Strong singers capable of performing upbeat Pop, Festival-style, or culturally inspired music for stage shows, special event moments, and atmosphere entertainment.## **Actors**Animated and versatile performers to portray a variety of characters across all three festivals. Must be able to deliver strong comedic timing, connect with guests of all ages, and adapt quickly to interactive performance settings. Performers will participate in scripted entertainment, atmospheric interactions, and cold readings.## **Date:** December 17th

San Diego, CA 92109## **Audition Requirements:**## **Vocalists:**Prepare **1–2 minutes** of an upbeat Pop, Festival, Jazz-inspired, or culturally influenced song.

Bring your accompaniment track. No accompanist provided.## **Hosts:**Prepare a **one-minute, family-friendly comedic or high-energy monologue**.

Be prepared for cold script readings and light improvisation.**All interested individuals must submit an application prior to attending auditions!**## **What you get to do:*** Enthusiastically represent the park with a positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to quality.* Perform in stage shows, parades, meet-and-greets, and special events.* Accept performance feedback and adapt accordingly.* Execute pre- and post-show backstage duties as assigned.* Assist the Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed.* Ensure adherence to all safety and procedural guidelines.* Consistently and expertly execute stage direction and show content.* Positively interact with guests, employees, and fellow performers.* Perform other duties as assigned.* May support Sesame Place San Diego as needed.## **What it takes to succeed:*** Fun, outgoing, personable, and animated performance style.* Ability to accept and apply performance feedback.* Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.* Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.* Availability for varying shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and after-hours rehearsals.* Ability to maintain character integrity.* Willingness to participate in regular performance assessments.* Prior experience in guest service or performance (theater, dance, athletics, etc.) preferred.* Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse guests and coworkers.* Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods.* Audition requirements may include dance, movement, script memorization, role playing, comedic improv, and miming.## **Availability:*** **Non-peak seasons:** At least 3 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.* **Peak seasons:** At least 4 days of unrestricted availability, including 1 weekend day.* Must be able to work varying hours based on park needs, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.## **What else is important:*** Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs.* Extensive walking and standing required.* Ability to kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, and perform simple grasp and fine motor tasks.* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature extremes.* May be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cleaning chemicals.* Must be able to work flexible schedules and locations based on business needs.* Must be able to participate in person at the scheduled audition.## **Compensation:*** Range 17.50 - 25.00 USD HourlyThe perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:* FREE park admission* Discounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friends* Park discounts on food, merchandise, etc.* Scholarship opportunities* Exclusive employee events and giveaways**EEO Employer:**SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
