Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating process development and overall yield improvement for TFLN devices. Responsible for integrating individual process steps, optimizing, understanding interplay between steps, and incorporating feedback from device designers and measurement team into future device builds. Take leadership in getting dedicated cleanroom facilities online and achieve state-of-the-art device performance results.
Responsibilities
Ensure the successful execution of process development fab runs
Work with the design team to translate design goals into fabrication plans.
Optimize process for yield and device performance
Characterize processes and components using semiconductor metrology tools, profilometers, interferometers, SEM, electrical testers and optical testers
Keep detailed documentation of every fabrication run, summarize key findings, and implement improvements for subsequent runs
Specify additional equipment and coordinate with vendors to enhance fabrication process
Develop manufacturing roadmap to support future programs
Take leadership in commissioning dedicated cleanroom space, managing operations, and plan intermediate solutions in the interim to meet deliverable deadlines.
Design test vehicles to support process development goals
Train and mentor new team members
Qualifications and Skills
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
Hands‑on experience with plasma etching, ion beam etching, e‑beam lithography, thin film metrology tools, SEM
Strong knowledge of nanophotonics and the fabrication of low‑loss waveguides
Extremely organized, data‑driven, and detail‑oriented, with a strong desire to maintain thorough documentation
Excellent communication skills to coordinate across team boundaries to meet objectives
