The EHR Application Analyst II performs duties related to information technology applications, including design, development, system configuration, implementation, and support of information systems.
Responsibilities include working with multiple teams and customers to develop and implement application functionalities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Defines, documents, builds, and maintains EHR application content.
Creates functional specifications for content within the EHR application and validates with business owners.
Completes projects on time with moderate supervision, demonstrating project management skills.
Escalates issues impacting deliverables.
Maintains required certifications and stays current with application updates.
Acts as liaison between IT, customers, and vendors, participating in operational meetings.
Prepares documentation including analysis, design, procedures, and user guides.
Provides support as needed and mentors junior staff.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
1-3 years' experience in EHR implementation/support or 2-5 years operational experience with EHR applications.
Ability to analyze large data sets effectively.
Vendor certification in applicable applications or proficiency, with a 6-month window to obtain certification.
Experience with computer systems, web applications, and Microsoft Office.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 8 years of relevant experience.
Licensure and Certification: EHR certification preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years in EHR or clinical systems management.
Experience in clinical settings and system implementation projects.
Experience managing small projects.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to multitask, self-motivated.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ownership and accountability in deliverables.
Knowledge of HL7 standards and process redesign.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
All staff must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
