Job Summary/Basic Function Are you passionate about shaping the future of construction management education? Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) invites dynamic and experienced professionals to apply for a 9-month clinical-track faculty position (non-tenurable) at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor to serve as the Construction Management Program Director. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow one of the region’s most respected construction management programs. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Director of the School of Concrete and Construction Management, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Construction Management Program, including:
Curriculum development and course scheduling.
Student recruitment and retention.
Accreditation and assessment.
Industry partnerships and outreach.
The successful candidate will also bring expertise to the classroom, teaching in areas such as:
Construction materials and methods.
Safety and quality controls
Plan reading and construction technology.
Mechanical and electrical systems.
Project management and field supervision.

Required Education Master of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Required Related Experience Five (5) years of construction-related experience within the United States is required by the appointment date.
