Forest Glen is seeking an experienced and dependable
Maintenance Director
to oversee the maintenance, safety, and physical operations of our facility. The Maintenance Director ensures that the building, grounds, and equipment are maintained in excellent condition, creating a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a
full-time
position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package. Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities for the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, ensuring timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility, equipment, and grounds to identify and resolve maintenance or safety issues.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including fire safety, life safety, and health department standards.
Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors as needed.
Manage inventory and budget for maintenance supplies and equipment.
Participate in facility safety committees and emergency preparedness planning.
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and respect within the maintenance department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or facilities management experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety codes.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
