We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AlloyDB Engineer to lead database design, performance optimization, and integration efforts within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This role involves working closely with clients to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient database solutions using AlloyDB, while supporting data migration, analytics, and cloud integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement AlloyDB solutions based on project data requirements.
Plan database capacity and scalability strategies.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in AlloyDB environments.
Optimize queries, indexing, and storage utilization.
Implement and manage AlloyDB within GCP environments.
Integrate AlloyDB with other GCP services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
Lead data migration efforts involving PostgreSQL and AlloyDB.
Support data analytics initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Apply disaster recovery and problem management strategies.
Create technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Participate in full systems lifecycle activities including analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
Stay current with emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in database engineering.
3+ years of hands-on experience with AlloyDB.
5+ years of experience in performance tuning and optimization.
3+ years of experience in data migration strategies and execution.
2+ years of experience with BigQuery.
Strong understanding of database design principles and capacity planning.
Experience with GCP services and cloud-native database integration.
Proficiency in technical problem-solving and analytical processes.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data analytics and reporting.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and migration tools.
Exposure to emerging technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Ability to work collaboratively and support cross-functional teams.
