2HB Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support its government customers in the Northern, VA area.
The position is located in McLean, with potential travel to local sites. Some OCONUS and CONUS travel may also be required. The sponsor seeks support for DevOps operations, including migration of legacy data, development of new system capabilities, extension and maintenance of bulk data pipelines, and enhancements for multiple mission applications within the sponsor’s cloud environment. Core hours are 9:00AM – 3:00PM, with possible weekend or after-hours support for operational issues, deployments, and critical activities. Position Requirements:
Demonstrated experience with big data processing technologies such as Spark, PySpark, and Java. Experience with data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading. Experience building analytic reports using tools like CloudWatch and Kibana. Experience processing OS and Data Logs into reports and metrics dashboards. Proficiency with Regular Expressions (RegEx). Experience with SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience processing data files in XML and JSON formats. Knowledge of IDEs and data modeling through notebooks and Visual Basic. Experience ETL’ing data from structured and unstructured formats into query-friendly, indexed files. Experience with data review and quality analysis. Ability to develop ETL design documentation including source/target mapping and data dictionaries. Experience with JENKINS, Application Registry, and Configuration Management. Experience with CloudFormation and YAML scripts. Ability to develop system dashboards for monitoring jobs and performance. Experience hosting and supporting COTS/GOTS applications. Knowledge of middleware services. Experience with AWS services such as S3, SQS/SNS, Lambda, EC2, and DynamoDB. Experience developing application and query services. Experience hardening system infrastructure for data sensitivity. Ability to design and implement enterprise systems architecture. Experience developing cloud-based ecosystems with multi-fabric networks. Keeping up with industry best practices, tech trends, and user demands. Leadership skills, ability to influence, and team collaboration. Responding to short-fuse tasks, including those from senior officials. Using analytics to inform decisions. Excellent written communication skills. Experience across all technology layers (infrastructure through application). IT project management support experience. Experience working with agile teams and practices. Effective requirement practices, including decomposing requirements and documenting work tasks. Experience working on multi-discipline project teams through all development phases. Highly Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience with Cloud services like Lambda, SNS/SQS, EC2. Experience with DevOps tools such as CloudWatch, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB. Experience working with Elastic, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK stack). Designing and developing enterprise systems architecture within the Intelligence Community. Experience with sponsor networks.
