TLA is seeking a
Software Engineer
to design, develop, and integrate secure computing environments that support critical mission objectives. In this role, you'll contribute to the full software lifecycle—from architecture and development to testing and deployment—across both commercial and government cloud environments operating at multiple security levels.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy secure enclave applications and supporting infrastructure
Implement and integrate open-source solutions within CentOS/RHEL environments
Build and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and S3
Automate environment provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, CloudFormation)
Support DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation
Develop and maintain microservice-based architectures using Docker and other container technologies
Implement messaging solutions with AWS SQS/SNS, Apache Kafka, or RabbitMQ
Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver mission-driven software solutions
Design and support immutable and ephemerally cloud infrastructure across classified and unclassified networks
Requirements
Full-stack development experience within CentOS/RHEL
Strong scripting background (Bash and Python required; Java or Go preferred)
Extensive hands‑on experience in AWS, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and Step Functions
Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, CloudFormation)
Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining automation tools for AWS environments
Solid understanding of microservices, containerization, and cloud-native design
Experience with web servers (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx) and web technologies (HTML, CSS)
Proficiency with Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Familiarity with object‑oriented programming (Java) and scripting (Python, Bash)
Linux system development and administration experience
Certifications (Preferred)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
Desired Skills
Experience with Kubernetes setup, deployment, and management
Familiarity with security accreditation processes and sponsor accreditation tools
Hands‑on experience with AWS database services (DynamoDB, RDS, MySQL)
Experience working with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and HashiCorp tools (Consul, Vault)
