As a Software/Firmware Developer, you will: Architect, specify, design, and develop embedded software for sensing and analytics systems. Test and debug embedded software, supporting transfer to manufacturing including factory acceptance testing. Support data analytics in collaboration with expert team members. Communicate technical progress, timelines, and risks to stakeholders. Collaborate with global Business, R&D, and Utility teams to develop firmware and technical solutions within the smart grid strategy. Your Skills And Expertise
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree in electrical/electronic engineering, software engineering, or computer sciences from an accredited institution. Three years of software development experience with languages like C, C++, Python, Perl. Preferred qualifications: Masters degree from an accredited institution. Experience with power utility systems, system integration, and standards. Experience as a firmware architect or in technical leadership. Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, ThreadX) on ARM microcontrollers. Knowledge of embedded protocols, system architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and security protocols. Experience with agile methods and external service providers. Understanding of power utility industry practices. Work Location & Travel
Hybrid work eligible, requiring some travel to Austin, TX, at least 3 days/week. Travel up to 10% domestically/internationally. Additional Information
Relocation assistance may be provided. Must be legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship. Compensation range for US applicants: $141,150 - $172,517, plus benefits.
