Are you familiar with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks? Do you want to assist government agencies in providing better, more efficient services? Are you interested in contributing to AWS's growth in the State and Local Government sector as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice? As a Solutions Architect, you will help shape and deliver strategies to increase the adoption of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront. Your responsibilities include owning technical engagements, defining architectures, responding to RFPs, developing AWS expertise, and being a security subject matter expert. You will collaborate with a talented sales and business development team, share best practices, and learn from industry leaders. Your role involves guiding customers in transforming government services through innovative cloud solutions. Key Qualifications
8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, or data analytics. 3+ years in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting. 10+ years in IT development or consulting within the software or internet industries. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking. Knowledge of AWS services, industry segments, and verticals. Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives. Public Sector experience in transportation is a plus. Additional Information
This role supports the US Public Sector State & Local Government Transportation team, working with agencies like DMV, DOT, and Port Authorities nationwide.
