As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in our business development team, contributing to the expansion of AWS in the Public Sector. You'll work directly with customers and AWS Partners to shape and deliver strategies for broad adoption of key services like Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, and Amazon CloudFront. Your core responsibilities will include: Leading technical engagement for specific implementation projects. Providing best practices to customers and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies. Serving as a subject matter expert on security best practices for applications and services. Offering exceptional technical design and thought leadership. Collaborating with a talented sales and business development team. Capturing and sharing best practices across the AWS Solutions Architect community. We seek an individual who: Is enthusiastic about designing and creating cloud computing architectures. Values a growth mindset and keeps technical skills current with industry trends. Brings technical presentation expertise, from whiteboard sessions to large group engagements. This role requires some travel (approximately 30%) and is limited to U.S. citizens due to federal government contract clearance requirements. Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in technology domains (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, etc.). 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting on applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet sectors. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking. Experience engaging with end users or developer communities.
