Hoag Health, the top-ranked health system in Orange County, CA, is seeking a full‑time Psychiatrist in Reproductive Health to join a growing program! Our dedicated team consists of Maternal Mental Health Psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and therapists to support pregnant and post‑partum patients during a very vulnerable time in their lives. We have two clinic locations in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA, and are currently expanding our hospital in Irvine with a new hospital set to open in 2026! This is a unique opportunity for those who have a passion for serving maternal health patients.
Details
36 hours of clinical time and 4 hours/week of administrative time
Will spend time in Newport Beach, Irvine and also have opportunity for telehealth consults

Seasoned and dedicated support team including administrators, medical assistants, therapists
Responsibilities
Treating pregnant and post‑partum patients (up to one year following birth)
Provide psychiatric evaluations for Hoag patients in the outpatient setting in person or via synchronous telehealth
Provide expert consultations for admitted maternity patients at Hoag Hospital’s Newport Beach and Irvine campuses
Common conditions include depression, anxiety, postpartum psychosis, birth trauma (PTSD), eating disorders, obsessive‑compulsive disorder
Grow program with support from Hoag Women’s Health Institute
Requirements
Board certification or board‑eligible in psychiatry
Specialty training or experience in perinatal & reproductive psychiatry is required
MD or DO degree, and completion of ACGME accredited residency in psychiatry
Active, unrestricted California Medical License, or eligible for California state medical licensure
Active DEA licenseStrong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting and a passion for providing excellent clinical care
