The role of Account Director – Global Client Partnerships is responsible for a portfolio of the highest spending Mintel clients within our Global Consulting practice. You will support Lead Client Partners by networking extensively, identifying local syndicated and consulting upgrade opportunities, and developing best‑in‑class approaches to increase and grow Mintel’s business portfolio. Global communication externally and internally is a core element of this role, and you will collaborate with the global growth team to lead to an optimum experience for your clients.

What You Will Be Doing Client Relationship Management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with regional stakeholders within your assigned global growth accounts

Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives and challenges

Continuously delivering creative business solutions to prove ROI and gather value statements on a quarterly basis for each regional client to aid in renewal and entrenchment processes

Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention by addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively

Business Development

Delivering against Mintel’s revenue targets by networking high and wide within the client organization to drive sales growth against targets with a strong focus on consultancy sales and upgrades

Collaborating with the Lead Client Partner to create and execute regional account growth strategies

Building a robust pipeline of potential opportunities within the business to achieve sales targets

Solution Delivery

Working with internal teams to develop creative and customized business solutions that align with client needs

Presenting and communicating solutions to clients, highlighting their value and impact on business objectives

Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of delivered solutions, making adjustments as needed to maximize value

Contract Management

Overseeing and managing local contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of global Master Service Agreements

Negotiating contract renewals and amendments to meet client and company objectives

Coordinating with legal and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely contract execution

Collaboration

Partnering with Lead Client Partners and Client Success counterparts to develop and roll out Mintel’s core client servicing strategy with each client and adapt appropriately to each client’s core business objectives

Working alongside several cross‑functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients

Conducting regular strategic reviews with internal stakeholders to track progress against strategic plans

Sharing insights and feedback from clients to inform product development and service enhancements

Who We Are Looking For

A Practitioner: At least 8 years of sales success, focus on account management, track record of selling consultancy solutions to C‑suite and senior leadership, rooted connection within the FMCG sector, practical and technical skills

Consultative Sales and Research Knowledge: Able to digest clients’ requests and translate business needs into actionable research project ideas

Client‑Obsessed: Clients are number one priority, trust and rapport at forefront, driven by bringing right solutions to their business to elevate brand

Commercially‑Minded: Proven track record of delivering ROI and achieving sales targets

Great Communicator: Extremely polished verbal and written communication skills, adaptable communication style to suit each client, team and across teams

Short and Long‑Term Focused: Understanding immediacy of winning month’s results while adjusting for next 6‑12 months

Creative Problem‑Solver: Identify complex problems, develop and implement optimal solutions, track learnings, embrace continuous improvement

Team Oriented: Team player focused on broader good and success of organization, comfortable providing and receiving feedback, committed to continuous improvement together

Salary range: $104,000 USD to $130,000 USD (Realistic OTE $260,000).
