Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development Department supporting the Testing and Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and a self‑starter, with a passion for developing cutting‑edge hardware solutions and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence.
Job Title: Automotive Hardware Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $75 per hour
Responsibilities
Develop, document, and execute component and system‑level hardware testing procedures.
Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize the functional performance of hardware components.
Design and develop test setups, including load simulators, test harnesses, and custom scripts using Python.
Facilitate test infrastructure projects by working closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
Draft and present comprehensive test plans, design reviews, and data reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
4+ years of professional experience in electronics development and hardware testing.
Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components.
Proficiency with design tools such as Altium for PCBA and 3D modeling software like 3DEXPERIENCE or Catia.
Hands‑on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
