A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of its clinics as their new Nurse Supervisor (RN). About the Opportunity: Start Date:

Monday to Friday Hours:

7am to 3pm (1 hour unpaid lunch) Patient Population:

Women (18+) struggling with addiction, military veterans, homelessness, etc. Responsibilities: Monitors completion of medical support and nursing staff assignments, identifies lags in the daily flow and intervenes as necessary to improve efficiency Conducts orientation for new nursing and medical support staff and provides in-service training as needed Provides medication administration training and competency evaluation for required staff. Maintains inventories of methadone, stock items and orders supply and medication as indicated Assists the Physician by identifying, reporting and addressing changes in the client's health status Communicates daily with clinical staff to identify client needs so that they can be incorporated into the daily work schedule Provides direct nursing care to clients, including comprehensive admission assessments, prepares doses for direct administration and dispensing of methadone and other medications, etc. Performs and documents Nursing Intake/Medical History in accordance with agency policy and procedure Provides health education to clients, monitors client behavior and participates in treatment planning Performs physical count and tallies medication at the end of the day Documents all assessments, interventions and response to treatments in the progress notes Reviews medication orders and obtains renewal orders or orders to discontinue prescribed medications in accordance with policies and procedures Performs other duties as requested Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licensure BLS certification Experience in a Supervisory role in a Hospital, Substance Abuse, and/or Behavioral Health setting Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR. Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local law and regulation governing substance use treatment programs Desired Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience working with the Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health population
