Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs on construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid‑steers, and skip loaders. Vehicle Repairs : Maintain and repair diesel and gas‑powered vehicles to ensure fleet reliability. Diagnostics : Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals. Preventative Maintenance : Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs for all equipment and vehicles. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, creating a safe working environment. Collaboration : Work closely with site managers and supervisors to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance effectively. Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally with construction equipment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and using diagnostic tools. Problem‑Solving : Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with an ability to develop efficient repair solutions. Reading Skills : Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Licensing : Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
