Aviation Maintenance Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring entry-level Aircraft Fuel Cell Technicians (Class C) in Jamaica, New York. If you're mechanically inclined, eager to work with your hands, and ready to start a long-term career in aircraft maintenance, we want to hear from you. Position Summary: As a Class C Aircraft Technician, you'll assist with aircraft fuel tank maintenance under the guidance of experienced supervisors. You'll perform preventive maintenance and alteration tasks following approved maintenance data and procedures. This position is ideal for recent graduates of an A&P program or mechanically skilled individuals seeking aviation experience. Responsibilities: Perform assigned fuel tank maintenance tasks per applicable manuals and supervisor direction
Ensure maintenance operations follow proper sequences and inspection requirements
Accurately document work performed in maintenance records
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Request necessary parts and stock to support maintenance operations
Use and verify calibrated tools and test equipment
Follow all FAA, company, and customer safety regulations
Record on-the-job training (OJT) and seek opportunities to expand knowledge
Communicate any unsafe practices or inefficiencies to supervisors immediately
Qualifications:
Must be able to comprehend and perform fuel system maintenance with hands-on training
Entry-level position with 0-2 years of experience in aviation or mechanical maintenance
Mechanical aptitude or related experience preferred
Ability to work in confined spaces and flexible hours as required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
