Supervising Biologist / Senior Project Manager
to join our
Natural Resources
team in
Southern California . This position will support a variety of public and private sector clients and can be based out of our
Carlsbad, San Diego, Riverside, or Los Angeles
offices. The team member in this role will be responsible for supervising staff, delegating workflow, and ensuring successful project execution, working directly with peers and junior team members.

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: Technical Work
Prepare high-quality technical studies and QA/QC of environmental documents, including Biological Resource Assessments, CEQA/NEPA analyses, Jurisdictional Delineations, and permit application packages
Identify permitting pathways for complex projects and develop the necessary studies and materials
Conduct wetland delineations and fieldwork as needed
Travel as required, including overnight stays
Project Management
Oversee complex biological permitting projects (e.g., Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Coastal Act)
Manage moderate to large projects, coordinating scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Serve as primary contact for clients and regulatory agencies
Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members
Lead QA/QC of reports, budgets, and schedules
Business Development
Leverage industry relationships for client outreach
Maintain and grow client accounts
Write proposals with accurate estimates
Participate in interviews and presentations
Qualifications:
8–12 years of successful environmental consulting experience, including technical, project management, and business development
BS or MS in Biology or related field; PhD preferred
Experience supervising and mentoring staff
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience with biological assessments, surveys, wetland delineations, regulatory permitting, restoration, and projects in utilities, energy, water, or transportation sectors

The salary range for this full-time position is $107,000–$150,000, plus benefits.
