Location: Pensacola, FL. Department: Construction/CEI.
As a Project Administrator, you will be responsible for leading the CEI team on a day‑to‑day basis and ensuring compliance with FDOT construction engineering and inspection processes. You will coordinate with client staff, external stakeholders, and internal teams to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities
Makes and checks engineering computations.
Prepares meeting agendas and leads meetings.
Prepares project documentation.
Conducts material sampling and testing.
Verifies quality control.
Coordinates and manages inspection and project staff.
Assists with preparation of monthly progress and final estimate packages.
Interprets plans and specifications for contractors and discusses deviations to ensure compliance with construction regulations.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years of engineering experience in construction of major road and bridge structures, or for non-degreed persons, 8 years of responsible and relevant engineering experience, including 2 years in major road or bridge construction.
FDOT Advanced MOT.
CTQP Final Estimates Level II.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Completed CTQP QC Manager Course and passed examination.
Completed Critical Structures Construction Issues Self‑Study Course.
Position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
KSA’s
Receives general instructions regarding assignments and exercises initiative and independent judgment in solving work problems. Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project, responsible for progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
