Responsibilities
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforce adherence; advise management on needed actions.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Stock shelves, pull orders, prepare and ship merchandise.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follow up on work results. Manage delivery routes and schedules.
Maintain warehouse staff by directing, coaching, monitoring, disciplining, and training employees.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Arrange transfers, orders, returns, pallets, etc.
Core management.
Monitor Geotabs and vehicle reports.
Deliveries when needed.
Forklift certified.
Must be able to lift 50–150 lbs.
Receiving and validating correct count of incoming part shipments.
Shipping parts – coordinating activities with delivery drivers and outbound freight carriers.
Stocks and pulls inventory including organizing shelves and rotating stock.
Oversee remanufactured parts core management process (from core credit to customer to processing returns to assigned location).
Assist with inventory control functions, maintaining accurate bin locations, quantity verifications.
Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse and clean workspace.
Provide occasional delivery service.
Oversee delivery vehicle and warehouse equipment maintenance schedules.
Supervision of delivery drivers and warehouse laborers.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Hands‑on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum three years of warehouse inventory stocking experience.
Past leadership‑based warehouse roles a plus; past automotive, transportation, or heavy‑duty trucking parts experience a plus.
High school diploma required; one year or more certificate from college or technical school preferred.
Valid driver’s license (for delivery of parts).
Forklift certification.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate and relay instructions both verbally and in writing in English.
Ability to work with computer inventory control systems; perform basic computer functions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
Ability to deal with problems or conflicts.
Regular lifting and moving up to 100 pounds; necessary vision requirements (close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision).
