Refugee Resettlement assists in helping create a home‑away‑from‑home; we assist government‑approved refugees in becoming self‑sufficient through cultural orientation, job development, family reunification and resettlement.

The Supervisor, Education is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the Refugee School Impact (RSI) and After School Program. This role involves supervising program staff, including Education Liaisons and After‑School Instructors, ensuring program goals are met, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. The Supervisor will serve as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including funders and community partners, and will be instrumental in driving collaboration, innovation, and impact in refugee education services.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Provide strategic oversight of both the Refugee School Impact (RSI) Program and the After School Program. Collaborate with program staff to enhance existing service delivery models, streamline processes, and implement new initiatives that expand program capacity and visibility within the community.

Directly supervise Education Liaisons, After‑School Instructors, and other support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and identify professional development opportunities to support staff growth and effectiveness.

Serve as the primary point of contact for grant funders. Maintain consistent communication, respond to inquiries, and submit progress updates. Ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with all grant requirements and performance indicators.

Act as a resource and support system for parents, school personnel, and students involved in the RSI and After School Programs. Address concerns, offer solutions, and promote positive relationships among all stakeholders.

Facilitate cultural competency and awareness trainings for school staff, as required by RSI grant guidelines. Regularly meet with school principals and administrators to strengthen and sustain partnerships supporting refugee student success.

Identify and cultivate relationships with community‑based organizations, service providers, and local stakeholders to enhance access to educational resources and broaden support networks for refugee families.

Support the organization and broader education team by undertaking additional responsibilities and special projects as needed to fulfill the mission and goals of the program.

Perform other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public administration, or related field

Three (3) years of experience in refugee resettlement, education, social service setting or similar setting

One (1) year of experience in a leadership role.

Valid Texas Driver’s License

Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

Experience with applicable software e.g. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
