Hours: Swing shift

Job Description Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Hospital Medicine Department. Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), provide care to patients, obtain histories, perform examinations, order imaging and lab tests, and interpret results. Instruct patients on therapeutic regimens and pre/post-operative instructions. Maintain records and write progress notes. Follow patients through treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrate evidence-based practice. Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice. Assess learning needs of patients and families, employ strategies, interventions, and teaching to promote health. Provide comprehensive assessments, differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments under protocols for acute and chronic illnesses. Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury. Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Contribute to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience. Support the organization's strategic plan and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in IL and DEA/Controlled Substance License required.
Education: Master’s level program in specialty area.
Certification: BLS/CPR required.
Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred.
