The Liberty Village program at The Home for Little Wanderers is a short‑term group home program for up to 16 young men and women, ages 18‑25, struggling with housing insecurity. The program provides a safe place to stay and clinical support while longer‑term housing options are identified in order to combat homelessness. The schedule is Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

Provide individual and team supervision for Residential Supervisors. Hire, train and evaluate staff performance; oversee disciplinary action and terminations.

Provide input regarding salary administration for Supervisors and Counselors.

Hire new counseling staff and coordinate the placement and training of volunteer staff.

As a member of the management team, draft and revise program policies and procedures, monitor the implementation of HLW guidelines.

Coordinate and provide training for staff members.

Provide direct therapeutic care to the residents and TCI crisis intervention as needed, including the use of restraints; lead emergency situations.

Provide on‑call coverage for the program on a rotating basis.

Oversee petty cash system and the processing of bills; authorize expenses.

Review and sign off on all incident reports; participate in gathering information for incidents not handled in a manner consistent with HLW guidelines.

Develop and oversee implementation of behavior management system; monitor its effectiveness.

Ensure a therapeutic environment on the milieu at all times; oversee the planning and coordination of therapeutic activities.

Serve as a leader or chair of a task force or special discipline.

Attend HLW Milieu Leadership meetings once a month and coordinate and share resources with other milieu leaders throughout the agency.

Co‑chair treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings; interface with collateral agencies and various HLW departments to integrate services with educational, medical and clinical disciplines.

Act as an advocate for milieu services and staff; align milieu department needs with agency priorities; serve on agency committees as needed.

Attend conferences and participate in professional development activities.

May be required to carry a mobile device.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.

4+ years of direct child care experience in a residential setting with a similar population.

2+ years of supervisory experience.

Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.
