Pediatric Neurosurgeon – Cleveland Clinic
The Department of Neurosurgery within Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute together with the Children’s Institute is seeking a
Board Certified or Board Eligible, fellowship trained Pediatric Neurosurgeon
to help build and grow the pediatric neurosurgery program at the main campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be skilled in
all aspects of general pediatric neurosurgery , with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and collaboration.
While all specialty interests would be considered, we are
especially focused on expanding our pediatric spine program . Candidates with a particular interest and experience in
complex spine pathology, including complex cervical spine cases and congenital anomalies, will be highly valued . Additionally, as our institution transitions to a
Trauma Center , we require a surgeon with
significant interest and experience in managing trauma patients .

Responsibilities
Surgical volume focuses primarily on complex and routine pediatric neurosurgical cases.
Provide general pediatric neurosurgery care, with opportunities for subspecialization.
Share pediatric sub-specialty call on weekdays with a pediatric partner.
Participate in a combined adult cranial and pediatric call schedule on weekends and holidays (average 1:2 weekday call, 1:8 weekend call, including one holiday per year).
Actively engage in the neurosurgery residency program, resident and fellow teaching, with resident and APP support for clinical care.
Take part in programmatic building, community outreach, research, and scholarly activities.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible, fellowship trained Pediatric Neurosurgeon.
Expertise in general pediatric neurosurgery.
Experience in pediatric spine pathology (complex cervical spine and congenital anomalies) and trauma patient management.
