Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Heart Institute of East Texas (HIET) invites a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our expanding practice in Lufkin, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to provide cutting‑edge interventional cardiology services, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to a growing interventional program.
Responsibilities & Practice Details
Perform a full range of interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow‑up care.
Participate in on‑call coverage for interventional cardiology services.
Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.
Actively contribute to the growth and development of HIET’s interventional cardiology program.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Pursue potential academic affiliation and involvement in research opportunities through our extensive network.
Engage in teaching and committee opportunities if interested.
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
Unrestricted Texas medical license (or eligible to obtain).
Exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to patient‑centered care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team approach.
Ability to thrive in a growing and dynamic practice environment.
Ability to sponsor J1/H1B visas.

Pay Range:
$273.08 – $333.16 per hour
Where You’ll Work Your primary base will be our brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art 9,000‑sq‑ft facility in Lufkin, offering the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies. Patients will come from Lufkin and our six expanding satellite communities across East Texas.
