Team Overview At Edward Jones the Tech Finance team is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to Financial Advisors and Home office associates. Our key systems include on‑premise PeopleSoft Financials moving to Oracle Cloud ERP, SaaS applications, multiple custom Java web‑based applications, APIs and batch programs. We are responsible for supporting and enhancing existing systems and developing technology solutions that support and enhance the finance division in alignment with the firm’s vision.
Job Overview As an Engineer 3, you will help configure, enhance and support on‑premise PeopleSoft Finance ERP application modules. You will also help in efforts to move Finance to Oracle ERP Fusion. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the team, leaders and product owners and be a technical developer.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of development experience in PeopleSoft, Java and Linux and/or Oracle Cloud ERP.
Experience with new system implementation especially transformation from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus.
Open systems development skills such as Java, JEE, JSP, Spring, Springboot, Rest, Json, Junit.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and/or Agile are a plus.
Linux skills are required.
Informatica ETL skills are a plus.
Provide system support, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
Evaluate, design, implement and support new and existing technological processes including Java APIs, Java web application, PeopleSoft AE/SQR, Linux batch scripts, etc.
Modernization of existing applications to be rewritten in modern technology languages including transformation from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud ERP.
Work closely with ERP team, Systems and business leads to promote technical and functional enhancements using best practices and industry standards.
Focus on continuous improvement to drive a seamless, modernized user experience.
Provide off‑hours technical support on a limited rotational basis when escalation is needed.
Participate in the analysis, design, develop, testing, and implementation activities within the areas of responsibility.
Work closely with support teams and support manager to address incidents and Service Request Queue, ensuring proper prioritization.
