About The Role We’re seeking a
Legal Operations Specialist
to support the Legal Team at Fora and accelerate our partner growth. This experienced contracts professional will manage the full contract lifecycle— from drafting to execution—partnering closely with stakeholders across the company to streamline legal processes and ensure clear, consistent agreements.
Key Responsibilities Contract Drafting and Review
Draft, review, and revise partnership agreements and commercial agreements (vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, SaaS/MSA, SOWs, amendments), maintaining consistency with company standards.
Identify risks, propose contract edits, and provide practical recommendations.
Maintain, update, and improve contract templates and clause libraries.
Contract Lifecycle Management
Own the end‑to‑end execution process: steer contracts through internal systems, coordinate input from various teams, manage redlining, approvals, signatures, and archiving.
Manage the contract repository and build out a new contract management system.
Track key dates, renewal terms, obligations, and compliance requirements.
Build, refine, and document internal contract workflows to increase efficiency.
Legal Operations & Cross‑Functional Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (Finance, Sales & Marketing, Partners, Business Ops, Advisor Experience) on contract‑related questions.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure timely deal execution.
Support legal with research, compliance tasks, and special projects.
Help implement scalable processes and systems to support company growth.
Process Improvement
Identify operational bottlenecks and propose improvements to workflows and documentation.
Create dashboards, trackers, or lightweight systems to keep deals moving efficiently.
Contribute to policy development, knowledge bases, and internal training materials.
Requirements
3–7+ years’ experience in contracts administration/paralegal role in an in‑house corporate legal department and/or large law firm.
Experience drafting, redlining, comparing, and negotiating contracts.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and document management systems.
Excellent attention to detail and organization; able to manage cross‑functional projects and multiple workflows simultaneously.
Strong sense of ownership with ability to anticipate needs and execute autonomously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with business leaders and external partners.
Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or a related field.
Authorized to work in the U.S., and available to work in person at our office in Lower Manhattan 4 days/week.
Strongly Preferred
Paralegal certificate, coursework in business/legal studies, or JD.
Experience in a fast‑paced startup or travel organization.
Experience managing partner onboarding or procurement workflows.
Experience reviewing and negotiating NDAs.
Familiarity with privacy/security concepts (e.g., DPAs, SOC reports, compliance questionnaires).
Experience building or improving processes from scratch, including leveraging AI.
Compensation Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $75K–$110K + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired.
