Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials, components, and MRO.
Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.
Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance to ensure quality, delivery, and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with production and inventory teams to optimize material flow, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering professional growth and ensuring departmental goals are met.
Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify new opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction strategies.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a purchasing team.
Bonus Qualifications
Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proven experience with international sourcing and global logistics.
Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
Experience implementing or optimizing e-procurement or P2P solutions.
Fluency in a second language relevant to key international supplier markets.
