Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with manufacturing production schedules and goals.
Source, evaluate, and manage a robust portfolio of suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
Collaborate with production, planning, and engineering to ensure timely material availability and optimize inventory levels.
Implement cost reduction initiatives and value analysis projects to improve profitability.
Ensure all purchased materials and services meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate disruptions.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and lean principles.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean/Six Sigma certification
Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Fluency in a second language relevant to international supply chains
