Job Description
Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in introductory biology, ecology, and specialty areas within the biology curriculum.
Develop and maintain an active research program with a focus on ecological sciences; mentor undergraduate research projects.
Participate in department service and outreach activities.
Requirements
Ph.D. in biological sciences (ABD considered if degree conferred by time of appointment).
Commitment to excellence in teaching; proven research and publication record in ecological sciences at an appropriate career level.
Ability to develop a research program that includes undergraduate mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications
Postdoctoral experience.
Undergraduate teaching experience.
Continuous scholarly activity; research focus on terrestrial ecosystems.
Strong interest in teaching and research at a small comprehensive liberal arts institution.
