Business Development Director – Early Phase, Full Service CRO – East Coast

We are looking for a Director of Business Development for an exciting early phase CRO. This is a remote, home‑based role focused on the East coast of the US. Base Pay Range

$150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year Your role will include: Achieve agreed sales and business development targets; create and implement business development strategies for target markets. Prospect to establish a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFPs; qualify prospects for competitive advantage, timing, budget, decision maker. Utilize Salesforce to track client activities, meetings, opportunities, and updates; inform management of current status. Lead and manage the sales process for leads generated internally or externally. Lead proposal development for opportunities and the assigned team, ensuring strategy, budget, proposal language, and timelines match client expectations. Continuously redefine profitable market niches for opportunities based on evidence. Provide input to the Marketing team to create and implement supportive marketing strategies. Provide input to business development leadership on territory and industry knowledge to develop sales targets, strategies, and plans. Collaborate with the team to define and implement strategies supporting the sales process, including pre‑sales resource securing. Engage with agents and consultants in other geographic locations to support business development in those markets. Engage with internal research staff to maximize selling opportunities during travel.
