Position Overview The Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for generating new sponsorships for the Philadelphia 76ers and other select HBSE properties. The Director will partner and work closely with key individuals internally and externally regarding new business partnerships for HBSE. The Director will work closely with the Solutions and Partnership Activation teams, other organizational departments, as well as additional staff as needed. The candidate selected will have a proven track record as a new revenue generator as well as consistently securing six and seven-figure investments. The Director should already have an established reputation and track record of success gained with a combination of major brands, teams, and agencies. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President & Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships.

Responsibilities

Renowned solution selling pedigree, developing customized and targeted sales and marketing plans, proposals and presentations in furtherance of HBSE’s strategies for optimizing revenue and profitability through enhanced corporate sponsorships and other relationships

Ability to harmonize the efforts of individuals and teams from multiple business units to accomplish the goals of the company

Ability to develop and deliver new tools, models and KPIs (including research and data tools) to focus, drive, and monitor commercial activities

Strong leadership, commercial, organizational, project management and analytical skills

High energy, excellent communicator, engaging, entrepreneurial and has a roll-up-sleeves mentality

Present proposals and presentations in person and/or through video meetings to C-level decision-makers

Close partnership deals aligned with revenue goals

Qualifications

6-10 years of proven outside sales experience within the Sports and Entertainment industry (corporate partnerships experienced preferred)

Expertise in developing and implementing event-based commercial and revenue strategies

A track record of driving revenue growth for major events (e.g. entertainment or sports events)

Known throughout the industry for their poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts

Has uncompromised ethics, integrity and discretion with company and client information

Working Conditions

Travel Requirements: This role will frequently travel to client sites and other locations as needed.

Work Environment: This position generally requires that work be performed from the Penn Medicine Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex in Camden, NJ, but attendance at events taking place in the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA or offsite locations on nights, weekends, and/or holidays, will be required.

Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $105,000/year. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, including: eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and commission eligibility.

This position will be an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
