Physician Assistant Infusion

The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider responsible for assessment and management of various patient populations, including medical and surgical patients. The PA delivers direct care, counseling, and teaching in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings. This role requires adherence to high standards of documentation and procedural skill appropriate to the infusion setting.
Responsibilities
Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develop appropriate plans of care and conduct follow‑up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Order medications and write prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies.
Maintain high‑quality documentation including admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant required.
Licenses and Credentials:
State licensure in PA; proof of license a requirement.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years clinical PA experience in an acute‑care setting required; experience as a responding clinician in an acute care setting required; clinical experience in medical or oncology‑focused infusion required.
Desired Experience:
EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in taking medical histories and interpreting findings; maintain quality control standards; react calmly to emergencies; adapt and apply guidelines; communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and the public.
