The

Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

will lead Ailux’s clinical strategy and execution. As our first clinical hire, the CMO will build the clinical development organization from the ground up, oversee external partners (including CROs), and ensure that our clinical-stage programs are designed and executed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on, foundational role for a physician-leader who combines scientific rigor, operational discipline, and a deep interest in the application of AI to clinical development. Key Responsibilities

Define and execute clinical development strategies across Ailux’s internal and partnered programs. Lead IND planning and regulatory strategy in collaboration with regulatory advisors and consultants. Oversee all aspects of clinical trial execution, initially through CROs and later with an internal team. Build and lead the internal clinical development team (e.g., clinical ops, medical affairs, biometrics). Collaborate with AI/ML colleagues to shape tools and datasets that enhance clinical trial design, patient stratification, and translational insight. Serve as the medical and clinical face of Ailux in regulatory, investor, and partner conversations. Qualifications

MD or MD/PhD with clinical training in immunology, internal medicine, or a related field; board certification preferred. 10+ years of experience in clinical development, ideally including early-phase (FIH, Phase 1/2) biologics programs. Experience with IND-enabling activities, regulatory engagement, and CRO oversight. Strong preference for candidates with pharma or biotech leadership experience. Immunology experience is a plus. Comfortable collaborating with AI teams; openness to innovation and data-driven decision-making is essential. U.S.-based; ability to travel for key internal and partner meetings. Seniority level
