Hospitalist Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Swing Shift
Norwalk Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health, is seeking a full‑time Hospitalist PA/NP for Norwalk, CT. The position is located a 50‑mile suburb of New York City in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians. Shift times are variable, 10 PM‑10 AM. Duties include admitting, rounding, discharging and collaborating with physicians in Hospitalist Medicine.
Job Summary Under the supervision of a physician, provide primary medical care to patients to assist in recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an approved PA school, CT state PA license, DEA/CT controlled substance registration, and certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); or master’s degree, NP, CT RN and APRN license, CT Controlled Substances and Federal DEA registration, and Board‑Certified Nurse Practitioner.
ACLS & BLS certification.
Maintain 50 CME credits over two years.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Two years of prior Hospitalist or Internal Medicine experience preferred; new grads with Internal Medicine rotations considered.
Willing to work variable shifts (10 PM‑10 AM) including 4–5 holidays per year and 22 weekends per year.

Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $120‑140 k annually, commensurate or relative to experience.
