Key Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire:
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a high‑performing team of five, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Deliver High‑Impact Analytics:
Generate insightful analyses and reporting for a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, grounded in a deep understanding of the commercial and agricultural mortgage portfolios and their supporting systems.
Execute Critical Portfolio Tasks:
Manage time‑sensitive deliverables such as coordinating responses to investment‑management client portfolio inquiries and completing regulatory, rating‑agency, and industry portfolio surveys.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Finance, IT, Operations, and International Loan Managers to enhance portfolio reporting and analytics capabilities.
Drive Systems and Process Innovation:
Lead the design and implementation of new mortgage‑management and database solutions to support new products, clients, and platforms; define business requirements and serve as subject‑matter expert for user‑acceptance testing during system upgrades and new‑product rollouts; champion automation and data‑quality initiatives, including using AI to develop new capabilities and streamline existing processes and calculations.
Support MetLife Investments and MIM Stakeholders:
Serve as the authoritative source for portfolio composition and investment holdings.
Maintain and evolve reporting systems to meet internal and external customer needs.
Oversee the monthly market‑value process for domestic and international portfolios, including pricing standardization and approvals.
Present impairment recommendations to the Impairment Committee and develop supporting tools and communication frameworks.
Develop quarterly CECL reserve estimates and maintain reserving tools.
Produce Risk‑Based Capital (RBC) calculations and forecasts for commercial and agricultural portfolios.
Deliver detailed holdings and market‑value data to fulfill external reporting requirements.
Liaise with Internal Audit on market values, holdings, impairments, and SOX compliance.
Review and contribute to materials for earnings calls, 10‑K, 10‑Q, QFS, and Schedule B.
Support Asset Liability Management (ALM) and cash‑flow testing processes.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of investment experience.
Fixed‑income investment knowledge (e.g., cash flows, pricing, and data elements).
Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, including ability to generate new approaches to improve efficiency and information quality.
Advanced data‑analysis skills, including ability to identify and mitigate data issues.
Advanced commercial and agricultural mortgage‑investment knowledge (e.g., loan characteristics, cash flows, pricing, and data elements).
Ability to manage a wide variety of analysis and reporting responsibilities efficiently under tight timeframes.
Working knowledge of GAAP reporting and accounting requirements.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Additional Skills (Edge)
Lead the adoption of advanced analytics, including AI and LLM technologies, to enhance portfolio insights, automate reporting, and develop new, repeatable capabilities. Experience with Python, SQL, and Power BI highly desirable.
Working knowledge of STAT reporting and accounting requirements.
Location & Compensation Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. Expected salary range: $145,000 – $190,000. Role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation and stock‑based long‑term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
