Our client - a major utility firm based out of Westchester County, NY - has an immediate need for a Marketing and Communications Specialist. The particulars of the position are as follows. Job Functions & Responsibilities: • Identify and recommend brand-building areas for the client. • Assist in the design and implementation of integrated marketing strategies that align with overall business goals and brand positioning. • Implement multi-channel marketing campaigns that effectively engage target audiences through digital, print, social media, email, events, and other relevant channels. • Monitor and track lead engagement across marketing campaigns and events, ensuring data accuracy and updating lead statuses. • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. • Coordinate logistics and support the execution of in-person and virtual events, including pre-event planning, vendor management, and on-site or virtual support. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for integrated marketing and media relations initiatives. • Interface across all levels of the company to research, prepare and edit social media content, blog articles, press releases, talking points, speeches, runs of show and other copy as needed. • Support press conferences and provide talking points for staff as needed. • Prepare talking points or fact sheets for the officials representing the client at events as needed. Skills: • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic and team-oriented environment. • Strong writing and editing skills, especially under tight deadlines, with particular expertise in handling various writing assignments, including press releases, briefing papers, speeches and broadcast scripts. • Experience with layouts and graphic design. • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset. • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing trends and best practices. • Experience with marketing tools (e.g., email marketing, CRM, event platforms) and basic digital marketing principles. • Ability to manage multiple projects, and prioritize work to align with business needs • Experience with current marketing trends and best practices. • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point. Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree required in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field. • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in marketing and media relations preferred.
