Java Software Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product managers, and customer support teams to understand both the technical architecture and the user experience. Your mission is to build robust automation frameworks, develop scalable test strategies, and drive continuous improvements in our testing processes. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards. Write clean, maintainable test code using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Mocha/Chai). Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and drive resolution in collaboration with development teams. Participate in sprint planning to identify test automation opportunities and ensure test coverage for new features. Contribute to performance and load testing efforts to ensure system scalability and reliability. Develop tools and utilities to improve test efficiency and coverage. Assist in managing test environments and test data for various testing scenarios. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation. Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles. Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Mocha/Chai. Strong understanding of various testing types: unit, integration, functional, load, security, and end-to-end. Experience working in Agile development environments. Hands-on experience testing complex, distributed systems including web/mobile applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Salary: $110-$170k base salary (Dependent on experience) Seniority level
