AHMC HealthCare Overview Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking an Admitting Representative for our Admitting Department. This is a part-time, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Admitting Director. The variable shift includes evenings, graveyard & weekends. Days off will vary. Responsibilities The Admitting Representative is responsible for greeting patients upon arrival, registering them into the hospital's ADT system, verifying all patient information including medical insurance, and relaying this information to various service units. Tasks are performed in settings such as the ER, outpatient, and direct admit transfers. The Admitting Rep will also take PBX rotations as needed. Qualifications BLS (AHA) & AB508 certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Knowledge of patient registration processes, HMO's, PPO, Capitation, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Worker's Comp., HIPAA & EMTALA is required. Excellent customer service skills are necessary; above-average collection skills and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Two years of experience is preferred. Seniority level
