Admitting Representative

for our

Admitting Department . This is a part-time, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Admitting Director. The variable shift includes evenings, graveyard & weekends. Days off will vary. The

Admitting Representative

is responsible for greeting patients, registering them into the hospital’s ADT system, verifying all patient information including medical insurance, and delivering this information to the appropriate service units. Tasks are performed in settings such as the ER, outpatient, and direct admit transfers. The Rep will also take PBX rotations as needed. BLS (AHA) & AB508 certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Knowledge of patient registration process. Knowledge of HMO’s, PPO, Capitation, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Worker’s Comp., HIPAA & EMTALA. Excellent customer service skills are necessary; above-average collection skills and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 years of experience preferred. Seniority level
