Maintenance Technician
Temp-to-hire Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm Pay:
$28/hr to $30/hr depending on experience.
Summary:
Installs, maintains, repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems at site.
Responsibilities:
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Maintains TPM program from factory equipment. Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Makes emergency repairs when necessary to limit excessive downtime and production delays. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Troubleshoots or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Coordinates material requisitions needed for each project. Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures. Works to reduce equipment down time. Performs other maintenance work as needed or dictated by the facilities manager. Requirements:
Education: High School/GED 3-7 years diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment. Benefits Include:
