This role focuses on cloud systems (specifically AWS), data center systems, VMware virtual servers, and business applications such as Office 365. The Systems Administrator will ensure the seamless integration of key applications like Single Sign-On (SSO), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and endpoint device management into the company's IT environment. This role also involves troubleshooting, ensuring system performance, and assisting with the evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of new technology solutions to meet the organization's evolving needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers, configures, installs, and maintains key IT infrastructure systems, including cloud platforms (AWS), data center systems, virtual servers (VMware), and Office 365. Oversees the administration and integration of business applications such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Learning Management Systems (LMS), endpoint device management, employee communication boards, web reporting, and email systems. Conducts quality assurance (QA) testing for the rollout of new applications, updates, and system changes, ensuring that all configurations meet operational requirements and business needs before deployment. Collaborates with IT teams, including Help Desk and Network Operations, to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues. Provides after-hours support as necessary. Develops and maintains detailed technical and user documentation for systems, applications, and infrastructure processes. Recommends and implements system upgrades, patches, and optimizations to ensure the stability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems and business applications. Administers cloud infrastructure within AWS, ensuring the scalability, security, and optimal performance of cloud-hosted applications and services. Manages and monitors VMware virtual servers, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high availability. Assists in evaluating and deploying new technology solutions, with a focus on infrastructure improvements, cloud adoption, and application performance. Coordinates with vendor support teams to resolve complex technical issues related to cloud, data center, and application infrastructure. Provides training and support to internal stakeholders on software and systems usage, ensuring efficient adoption and proper usage of IT solutions. QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job. Education/Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, AA degree or greater in a computer-related field preferred. 4+ years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on cloud systems (AWS), data center management, VMware, and enterprise application management. License/Certifications: AWS, VMware, or Microsoft certifications preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Expertise in managing cloud systems (AWS) and virtualized environments (VMware). Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and system administration. Experience with OneLogin Single Sign On platform preferred Experience with Tanium endpoint management preferred Experience with Ivanti Neurons or other MDM platform(s) preferred Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite preferred Ability to independently solve practical and abstract problems and deal with a variety of known and unknown variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to plan and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams. Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and technical documentation ability. Ability to provide one-on-one consultancy and training to internal stakeholders. Proactive and flexible approach to organizational and regulatory changes. Ability to work at the Support Center consistent with the hybrid work policy. The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria.
