JOB SUMMARY: Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging) including planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others, mobilizing resources. Lead two or more direct reports, monitoring and achieving operational and/or financial results for area of responsibility. Handle people‑management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees. Coach and address performance‑related issues following progressive discipline for safety, quality, performance, training, and attendance. Supervise entry‑level or semi‑skilled hourly employees such as production, craft, and clerical workers. Coordinate resources and set daily priorities for the team to ensure task completion and operational objectives are met. Understand and apply established procedures and full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility. Monitor daily operations of a unit or sub‑unit. Use judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems. Apply operational business practices and coordinate with other closely related areas to improve efficiency. Direct operations of work units, assigning tasks according to schedules and deliverables and reviewing for accuracy and completeness. Make decisions that directly impact work‑unit operations, recognizing that errors or failures to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. Interact daily with subordinates or peers within similar or related functions primarily for presenting and exchanging information. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of a degree. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
