Salesforce – Solutions Architect (Public Sector Architecture Team)

Responsibilities
Develop architecture artifacts to improve business architecture with a focus on innovation and agility.
Align business technology strategy with application development and business roadmaps.
Provide ongoing architecture review and design support to multi‑functional teams.
Liaise with management and domain experts to accomplish objectives.
Specify and design solutions across business areas or systems, evaluating impacts and presenting design options.
Lead software selection efforts, including RFI/RFP, evaluation of commercial solutions, proof‑of‑concepts, and recommendations.
Define and maintain architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts (application architecture diagrams, data models, etc.).
Analyze multi‑functional business processes, recommend innovative technology solutions, and contribute to change management.
Investigate operational requirements and opportunities for new or changed processes, providing business solutions.
Manage communication channels and stakeholder engagement, facilitating open communication among partners.
Apply data analysis, modeling, and quality assurance techniques to maintain data structures.
Contribute to solution scoping and effort sizing with multi‑functional teams.
Stay informed on technology and product roadmaps to inform architecture recommendations.
Create reference architecture blueprints for Enterprise Architecture, SDG/BPG, and ACoP.
Manage architecture repository data for technology domains and platforms.
Lead application rationalization planning for technology and business domains.
Collaborate with TMP to prioritize and influence planned platform upgrades and features.
Requirements
13+ years of proven experience, preferably 6+ in Salesforce solutions.
Experience with Business Architecture methodologies.
Experience with C360 platform, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Agentforce, MuleSoft, Tableau, Slack, Heroku, and cloud technologies.
Experience with Agile Development Methodology.
Served as solution architect for multiple enterprise transformation implementations with sophisticated integrations.
Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming.
Deep functional and business process understanding of lead‑to‑cash, including sales support, enablement, and sales compensation.
Proficient in ITIL.
Familiarity with data quality management concepts.
Experience with Security, Integration, and Data Architecture.
Advanced knowledge of PCI, PII, SOX, GDPR standards.
Experience speaking at Dreamforce, customer conferences, and customer meetings.
Experience in Predictive and/or Generative AI technologies.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate and connect with colleagues and partners on an ongoing basis.
Effective presentation skills and tact for influencing multi‑functional leaders.
Ability to operate in a sophisticated environment with multiple projects and partners simultaneously.
Desired Skills
Salesforce certifications preferred.
Proficiency in software development lifecycle, code management, and release management; Agile experience preferred.
Related technical degree preferred.
