Responsibilities
Provide healthcare to patients with emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care.
Diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage and evaluate patient care independently and collaboratively with physicians.
Act as educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; perform related duties.
Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency; apply nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages.
Assist physicians in ensuring total patient care; interact directly with patients and families to maximize quality care.
Maintain a signed collaborative agreement and a valid DEA number if writing prescriptions for controlled substances.
Qualifications
Three years of experience as an RN.
Master’s Degree.
National Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licensure (Nurse Practitioner license required).
Valid DEA number if authorized to prescribe controlled substances.
