Salary Range:

$75,900.00 – $125,300.00 (Grade: Management_Executive 605) Compensation depends on skill, experience, licensure, certifications and other factors. Note: Individuals are typically not hired at the top of the range.

Job Description

This role ensures that clinical sites and clinical lab sites in the region provide full support for nursing students’ clinical practice needs. The Supervisor works closely with site leadership, WGU community relations, and the Clinical Learning and Placement team to coordinate student placements and scheduling.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Support implementation and delivery of clinical experiential learning in the Pre‑Licensure nursing program.

Coordinate clinical experiences, faculty/staff schedules, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Assist students with success and progression, and supervise, manage, and evaluate clinical faculty.

Develop and maintain clinical relationships to meet learning objectives and support program growth.

Represent WGU nursing in external constituencies and participate in professional meetings events as SDON proxy.

Lead faculty recognition activities and conduct program evaluations using evidence‑based tools.

Recruit, orient, and evaluate Clinical and Learning Lab instructors and staff.

Prepare required documentation, support student progression, and enforce university policies.

Promote a safe and healthy work/learning environment and model professional standards.

Conduct clinical site visits and maintain continuous quality of clinical placements.

Attend Leavitt School of Health meetings and perform any other duties as assigned.

Ability to evaluate teaching against WGU standards and anticipate program changes.

Experience working with diverse faculty, staff, and students; collaboration across teams.

Simulation competency and familiarity with high‑fidelity and virtual labs.

Strong verbal, non‑verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Problem‑solving orientation, future‑focused, and outcome driven.

Adaptable, reliable and with a high level of integrity.

Job Qualifications:

Must reside within Texas.

Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Pre‑approved as faculty if required by state.

Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a pre‑licensure RN program.

Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of instruction.

Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Basic management knowledge for scheduling and coaching.

Compliance with clinical facility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Lift up to 15 pounds at times; stand in a medical setting for extended periods.

12‑hour shifts in clinical settings, including weekends and holidays.
