Job Summary As a Project Manager (PM) you will overall‑responsibly lead the execution of defined work segments within the project, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) for Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost are met. Your core duties include schedule development, scope/change management, budget control, resource coordination, and cross‑functional coordination of construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contracts, and client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Coordinate project work groups to focus on execution goals and track all actions and deliverables.
Develop, maintain, and review project schedules; create action/recovery plans for schedule deviations.
Validate and monitor project metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) for assigned work segments.
Identify and report resource constraints and potential changes according to change‑management procedures.
Work with the construction team to produce, validate, and maintain staffing plans and manpower loading forecasts.
Ensure all required materials and services are identified, ordered, and potential delivery risks are mitigated.
Lead functional teams across construction, engineering, client reps, and other departments.
Implement the project readiness process, including detailed window logic, readiness check sheets, and status reporting.
Arrange and support project planning meetings, integration meetings, and client reporting sessions.
Coordinate readiness meetings and manage prerequisites for execution tasks.
Track outage readiness milestones and prepare readiness check sheets.
Capture, assign, and prioritize all open items related to work‑start readiness and closeout.
Provide status and progress reports to customers, project team, and management.
Ensure adherence to all policies, standards, and procedures including Safety, Quality, Code of Conduct, and Business Ethics.
Support shift supervisors and superintendents with construction execution activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide guidance to project personnel and administer succession plans and performance reviews.
Prepare job descriptions and define roles and responsibilities for staff.
Ensure all employees are trained for their functions.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) and 4‑year technical or business administration degree, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years project management experience, including 3 years in an industrial environment.
Applied knowledge of industrial projects, financial operations, project controls, estimating, and employee relations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office suite.
