Business Development Manager – Thermoformed Food Packaging

West Coast (excluding California)

to work alongside their technical sales team.
Responsibilities
Drive new business across the West Coast, targeting large-scale food and retail packaging accounts.
Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to contract close (8–18 months).
Secure high-value, in-person meetings early to generate opportunities and quotes.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to deliver custom thermoformed solutions.
Educate and influence customers on sustainability and recyclability using science-based data.
Build trusted, long-term partnerships with high-volume processors, QSRs, and major grocery chains.
Maintain accurate CRM data to support forecasting, account planning, and KPIs.
Requirements
Strong new business development and large-scale account wins across the West Coast.
Established network and credibility in food packaging sectors.
Experienced in navigating long, complex consultative sales cycles (8–18 months) with discipline and persistence.
Deep knowledge of custom thermoforming, high-volume food/QSR/grocery channels, or ability to quickly gain it.
Commercially savvy, disciplined in pipeline management, prospecting, and driving opportunities from idea to launch.
Excellent communicator, professional, and trusted across technical and commercial stakeholders.
Flexible and self-starting, comfortable traveling domestically for customer meetings, plant visits, and cross-team collaboration.
